Authenticity

When our Value /belief system is in line with our Attitude which in turn is in line with our intentions which are in line with our behaviors.

Attitudes

Attitudes are Beliefs, feelings and behavioral tendencies. It is a feeling or way of thinking that affects a person’s behavior.

Attitude influence intentions which in turn can influence behavior. An opinion or a behavior is an expression of an Attitude. Sometimes what we say or do doesn’t match with what we think or believe in. That could be due to social pressure, fear of sanctions etc.

Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM)

ELM argues that when a person encounters some form of communication, they can process this communication with varying levels of thought (elaboration). The ELM predicts that the degree of thought used in an influencing context determines how consequential the resultant attitude becomes.

Influence

Influence comes from the Latin influere, meaning to flow into. It is the Capacity to have an effect on the Attitudes, behavior or choices of someone. It is not only important to understand the changes as a result of influence, but also the “nature of changes”. “Is it a superficial change” on a behavior level for a short amount of time, or a long lasting change in attitudes and beliefs.  Changes in attitude and behaviors due to influence “occur at different levels”.  “These level of changes correspond to differences in the process whereby the individual accept influence”. Knowledge of these levels helps us understand about the how you want your audience to accept your influences and what influencing style you need to adopt.

Mindset

Mindset is how you see the world around you.
